The Multicultural Council of Canada, as an umbrella organization, encompasses, works-with and support the existing local Multicultural Councils, Ethno-Cultural Groups and non-profit organizations, regardless of whether they are a paid member of MCC, to help the local communities and economies, enhancing but without duplicating the services or interfering with their local leadership, infrastructure or financial affairs.
If and when there is a need, the Multicultural Council of Canada will set-up MCC Chapters in all regions of Canada and communities, help secure funding, introduce new programs and provide educational, cultural and healthcare seminars & workshops, including mental health. In most cases however, MCC will coordinate with and/or will be represented by one or more established local non-profit & charitable organization(s).
We envision an MCC Chapter in every city and if there is no local ethno-cultural organization, MCC main office shall have a special coordinating staff-member to do the necessary function of the regional chapter, thus providing all necessary information and services to clients in every part of Canada.
